Introduction to ADEM

What you’ll learn:
Focus on the benefits of preventative maintenance and early fault detection through use of the ADEM web applications. ADEM’s tools and features are used to determine the cause of on-wing engine faults and document analysis. Students will have the ability to access their own ADEM fleet data to apply the topics learned in class.

Introduction to Engine Failure Analysis

Learn to analyze jet engine system and part failures from in-flight or test cell incidents to help determine root cause and corrective action. FOReign Object Damage (FOD) – Training for technical Support Groups – V1.0

This course is intended for employees who require access to and who design and manage FOD Prevention processes. Topics include the definition and cost of FOD and practices to prevent FOD. Levels of FOD prevention in Foreign Object Critical Area Stations (FOCAS) are also described in detail.

  • UTC and Pratt & Whitney employees with supervisor’s permission.
  • This course is intended for employees who require access to Foreign Object Critical Area Stations (FOCAS) and who design and manage FOD Prevention processes.

  • This course is intended for employees who do not require unescorted access to Foreign Object Critical Area Stations (FOCAS) but must be aware of the risks associated with Foreign Objects and have a general understanding of controls in place to mitigate those risks. The audience may include but not be limited to employees in areas such as legal, finance and other administrative functions.

What you’ll learn:
This course covers FOD prevention processes such as parts protection, material handling and tool and hardware control methods, as well as procedures for responding to and documenting FOD or FO events.

  • This course is intended for employees who are permanently assigned to work in and around Foreign Object Critical Area Stations (FOCAS) and have direct contact with engines, engine openings, components, tools and hardware.

Advanced Diagnostics and Engine Management (ADEM)

What you’ll learn:
This e-learning course teaches navigation of the ADEM tool, its multiple applications and how to use its information to create appropriate engine maintenance plans. Students will recognize steps in the engine monitoring process, methods for trending engine data and use of the applications and their recommended workflow.
